Tiered Health Care Benefits - A Money Saver

It's a pretty straightforward program where employees are offered and encouraged to use the designated doctors who meet certain cost-efficient and quality standards. This allows employers to offer workers competitive benefits with higher incentives. For instance, workers who take advantage of the Premium program may opt for lower co-pay and co-insurance levels, but still get and enjoy quality health care.

Employers get to choose from an a la carte type menu that lets them know in advance how much to budget for their plan contributions. For example, there are choices for emergency room co-pay ranging from $100 to $150; urgent co-pay at $50; and preventive care at 100 percent (not subject to co-pay).

The Premium program was developed in response to some amazing and somewhat depressing statistics - those stats being that roughly one-half of all the patients needing medical care actually get care that meets national medical standards.

Other attractive features the employer may choose to offer are a family deductible at twice the individual rate, as well as a family out-of-pocket maximum of twice the individual rate, and a lifetime maximum of $5 million. There are other options an employer may choose from, but suffice it to say that it's a flexible program. It has lots of potential to be a leader in the workforce offering competitive benefits without having the dreaded higher premiums.

The other spectacular point of interest about the Premium program is that it acts as an educational tool for those who "opt-in" by showing them the real costs associated with health care coverage. This is something not a lot of people realize, as they have been insulated for so long from the billing process. In addition, many health care providers do not choose to share the actual costs of services with the public.

What are the benefits of increased health care consumer knowledge? It's a shift in attitude and patient behavior in how they utilize the health care system, a change that is long overdue. The benefits for the employer are also long-term health care savings.

Here is how the program works - the nuts and bolts of it. Doctors and facilities are recognized with stars - much like a hotel is starred for its services - for following national guidelines for cost efficient and quality bare. Doctors that meet both criteria get two stars. Others who meet quality standards are awarded one star. It's pretty easy to look for the stars to find a physician you want to visit.

These stars aren't just handed out at random. They are handed out based on evaluations by The American College of Cardiology, The Ambulatory Care Quality Alliance, and The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

The Green Star Juicer Machine - Is It Worth the Money?

he Green Star juicer machine is the upgraded model of what was once known as the 'Green Power' juicer from the reputable company Tribest. Tribest is known for making the best juicer machines on the market. We wanted to find out if the Green Star juicer machine was all that it was claimed to be so we ordered it and tested it out. We wanted to give you an honest juicer machine review.

Since we only sell the highest quality juicers in our store, we wanted to make sure it was the best juicer and everything that it was said to be. Well, we were excited to test out this new machine and give an honest juicer review. When our Green Star juicer machine arrived we opened the box and took out the Green Star juicer machine and were impressed with it's durability and construction. It looked powerful and strong. It was good to see that the juicer machine was already fully assembled. At first we couldn't find the plug and then realized that it was actually neatly concealed within the juicer machine's body in a little hidden compartment in the back of the machine.

The juicer came with a variety of attachments and accessories. Each of the Green Star juicer models including s1000,s2000 and s3000 are the same juicer. The difference is the attachments that come with the juicer machine. The s3000 comes with the most attachments. This juicer machine has an attachment to extrude pasta and make bread sticks. The attachments included with the S3000 machine can be used for making pates, sorbets, ice cream and baby food. A five year warranty is included with the green star juicer machine. So if you need to replace any parts within the five years, you can contact Green Star and they will either fix it our replace it for you.

Green Star juice machine uses twin gears to crush the fruits and vegetables and extract the juice. These twin gears are made of Stainless Steel. The green star juicers are the only juicer machine that has gears made of magnets and bioceramic materials. These magnets are used to extract the highest amount of minerals, nutrients and vitamins from the fruits and vegetables. This gives a fresher juice that's full of enzymes and vitamins.

The most important point of this juicer is that the twin gears rotate at a very low speed (110 RPM) when compared to many other juicer machines. The benefit of this is that it helps to maintain the enzymes and vitamins in the juice after it is extracted. Most other juicer machines on the market heat up the juice and therefore destroy the nutrients and enzymes. The green star juicer machine makes the highest quality, freshest most delicious juice due to it's cold, slow rotation process. This is our honest juicer review.

There is virtually no heat transfer thus helping in retaining the vitamins and enzymes in the juice. This is why the Green Star juicer makes juice that tastes so delicious. The technology of the juicer enables green and fruit juice to be stored for up to 2 days in the fridge without significant loss of nutritional value. Most other juicer machines make juice that oxidizes within a couple of minutes and they would not be able to remain fresh for longer then 30 minutes. This is good for people who don't like having to spend time juicing every day as juice can be made one day and consumed the next day.

Assembling the juicer is a simple process. Their is a pulp outlet adjusting knob that you may want to play around with. Depending on how tight this knob is secured affects the rate and pressure at which the pulp is ejected. The tightness varies with type of produce being juiced.

The Green Star Juicer s3000 comes with two screens, a fine screen that is suitable for juicing carrots, leafy greens, wheatgrass, spinach, kale, chard and other soft greens. In addition to a coarse screen which is more suitable for apples, cucumbers, carrots and other fruits and vegetables. The Green Star s3000 comes with two plungers, one wood plunger and one plastic plunger. These plungers are used to push the produce down the feeding chute onto the twin gears. The juicer machine also comes with a cleaning brush and a juice jug to catch the juice as it's extracted.

After testing the Green Star juicer, I concluded during our juicer review that the juicer did a great job of juicing a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. I was able to juice carrots to wheatgrass and spinach with ease. I learned how to adjust the pulp outlet knob. This gives the user the flexibility to either produce juice or other non-juice items such as salsas, pastas and ice cream. Depending on how tight you turn the knob you can either make delicious smoothies or make chopped vegetables, similar to a food processor.

The Green Star juicer manual suggested that the best juicer results were obtained when fruits and vegetables are fed slowly into the machine. As this allows the fruits and vegetables to make contact with the magnetic field in between the twin gears for a longer period of time. This helps more vitamins and minerals to be extracted from the produce.

The juice yield from the Green Star juicer machine was very high in both testing of apple, carrots and wheatgrass. The level of pulp in the juice was significantly less than the Solo Star and roughly the same as the Twin Health juicer. Compared to the Omega juicer it had a slightly larger output of juice. When cleaning the juicer you can use the little brush that is included with your Green Star juicer. Please note that the parts are not dishwasher safe. So only use your sink to rinse the juicer machine parts.
